Benefits to protecting skin before BITES!

Constantly protecting your skin from pesky insects may become a hassle and time consuming, but completely worth it when you hear about its benefits. Insect bites from mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, sand flies are mostly harmless but can cause a lot of discomfort. Especially if you live in a buggy environment or tend to travel to tropical places, these bites may become your worst nightmare. If you forget to apply your repellent, you might be left with red bumps, rashes, swelling, itching and even pain. Although these bites aren’t too serious, there are significant benefits of keeping your skin protected and avoiding this from happening.
Many people don’t know that repeated bites can lead to dark spots forming on your skin which are a pain and expensive to remove. Repeated itching and irritation can encourage these dark spots to form and even leave scarring. It is especially important to avoid bites for kids since getting them to stop scratching their bites is nearly impossible. That's why The Buzz encourages preventing from bites occurring in the first place.
More rarely, bites can also carry diseases. Insect borne diseases are caused from mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, and sand flies which have the possibility of causing viral and bacterial illnesses. Since no one wants to deal with that - regularly applying our repellant acts as an easy fix.
Why is healthy skin important?
Since your skin plays such an important role in protecting your body, you should keep it as healthy as you can. This will help you keep from getting sick or having damage to your bones, muscles, and internal organs.
Your skin is the organ that comes into contact with the rest of the world. It holds body fluids in, preventing dehydration and keeps harmful microbes out—without it, we would get infections or viruses like from insects. Bites from insects actually break the skin which can allow staph or strep to enter into the skin. This bacteria can cause cellulitis, a skin infection that causes red, swollen skin and fever.

Taking the time to protect your skin can go a long way. Simply apply any of our repellent products before leaving the house and you will save yourself, and your family, a lot of unnecessary discomfort.
