EARTH DAY LOVE FOR THE PLANET. circular economy. upcycle

Happy Earth Day!

This beautiful day serves as a chance to reflect on all Mother Nature does for us, and on all we can do to help her back. Now more than ever we are feeling and seeing the devastating impacts humans have had on the planet we inhabit. Although it may seem daunting, individual actions we can all take, do have an impact. There is something each and every one of us can do to help our planet become a little greener and a little healthier every single day. If you’re having a hard time figuring out where to start, you’re not alone. We created a brief starter list of acts and habits you can easily integrate into your daily life, to help reduce waste and shrink your carbon footprint:
Reusable Water Bottles and Coffee Cups
Plastic bottles and coffee cups contribute to an excess of waste that is truly so unnecessary. Find yourself a responsibly made (and chic!) reusable cup or bottle to replace these single-use plastics.
Reusable Cotton Rounds
This might seem like a small thing, but those cotton rounds you use to remove your makeup every night add up. Try to replace these with washable, cloth-like rounds.
Have a friend headed the same way as you? Try to reduce the amount of vehicles on our roads by buddying up to carpool to wherever your busy schedule takes you.
Shop Locally & Source Responsibly
Waste starts at the source, so try to buy from local businesses with smaller carbon footprints and use locally sourced materials.
Reduce Water Consumption
From shorter showers, to less loads of laundry per week, to keeping your sprinkler use to a minimum–  there are so many ways to cut down on the amount of water you consume.
Enjoy the Outdoors!!!
One of the best motivators to protect our environment is by spending more time out there to see all the beautiful nature we have to preserve. Get out there, breathe in the fresh air, and remember how lucky we are to have this earth.
We hope this list encourages you to take daily actions that help give back to our one and only home. Let's try to make it Earth Day every day…
Stick with us on our Buzzy journey.
With love from Charleston,
Lisa Jean XO
